Students use their names and reflective symmetry to create this black and white design.
DESIGNING
Start by drawing your name in an evenly divided corner of your page. The more the design reached the edges, the more interesting it will become.
TRANSFERRING
Use transfer paper (or tracing paper and a 6B pencil) to rotate your design and transfer it into each corner. Remember to reflect your image over each axis to maintain symmetry.
TRACING
Go over your design in pen all around the paper. Once the pen dries, erase the pencil marks.
FINISHING TOUCHES
Add any values or patterns needed to finish off your piece.
